I grew up with six younger siblings in a diverse family with strong connections to food. My Italian grandmother taught me to make homemade pasta. My mom and grandparents lived in Jamaica, Belgium and Thailand, and brought these cultures to our table. Meals were always cherished as family time, a value I love sharing through Whole Kids Foundation.
In college, I followed my love of food and its connection to health through my studies in human biology at Stanford University. After graduation, I coordinated the children’s services for a Bay Area nonprofit that serves families in need, and saw firsthand how much need there is for an innovative, mission-driven organization like Whole Kids Foundation.
At home, I’ve also become an avid gardener. Growing my own food has been a magical learning experience I wish I’d had as a child in school. I’m so excited to bring this experience to kids through our School Garden Grant Program. Joining the Whole Kids Foundation team has truly been a culmination of my passions and a dream come true!
