Event Specifics

Fresh Pond hosted 8 bloggers and local Whole Kids Foundation grant recpeint, City Sprouts, for a meeting of the Gardening + Healthy Kids minds! The goal was to showcase the impact of the campaign in the local community, and provide some fun content for bloggers. 

After the presentation about Whole Kids Foundation and the annual giving campaign, City Sprouts spoke to the assembled bloggers about their programs in Cambridge Public Schools. Garden Supervisor, Brad, brought two middle-school interns to present about their gardening and landscaping projects, home-grown meal recipeis, and about the impact of gardening on what they cooked at hom with their families. Part of their curriculum involves bringing the kids to Whole Foods Market to shop for pantry staples. 

Guests enjoyed a locally gorwn salad and swag bag filled with items from WKF Supplier Partners!

Events like this strengthen bonds between Whole Foods Market, WKF grant reciepients, and the community while spreading the word about Whole Kids Foundation!
