Need a new way to enjoy bananas? Try these bonbons for a delicious sweet treat.

INGREDIENTS

2 bananas

3 Tbls cocoa

6 dates

2 tsp unsweetened coconut shavings

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1: Cut the banana into bite-size pieces and freeze on a plate or baking sheet. Put the dates into a glass and cover with water (then let them soak for at least an hour)

Step 2: Dump the dates and water into a blender, add the cocoa and blend until smooth.

Step 3: Remove the bananas from the freezer and put them on the end of a fork or skewer.

Step 4: Dip the bananas into the chocolate mixture and back onto the plate or baking sheet.

Step 5: Repeat until all the banana pieces are coated, then sprinkle lightly with coconut shavings and freeze for 5 minutes. Serve cold.
