DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST | WHOLE KIDS FOUNDATION

I graduated from the University of North Texas with a BA in Family and Child Development. Then, I began my career as an Operations Intern with the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas, which gave me the opportunity to experience many different roles and responsibilities. From Operations Intern, I became the Welcome Room Manager and later served as the Volunteer Coordinator.

After that, I accepted the role of Leadership Experience Manager at the Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council in Houston. Supervising their Healthy Living programs led me to understand the importance of food access and nutrition education in the community and eventually guided me to Whole Kids Foundation and Whole Cities Foundation in 2022. Now, as the Foundations Development Specialist, I oversee corporate fundraising and partnership relations.

My own personal health food journey began after experiencing the negative effects of caffeine. It sparked my curiosity to explore ways food affects my body, and I was inspired to increase my intake of fresh, nutritious whole foods. By connecting kids with the root of their food, Whole Kids Foundation aims to do that very thing—spark curiosity and encourage healthier food choices.
