8 cups cold water
4 cups of fresh strawberries or watermelon
1 lime juiced
8 fresh mint sprigs
Start by soaking the dates in 1 cup of water for at least 30 minutes. While they soak, cut the tops off of the strawberries and slice ¼ of a cup (or trim the watermelon). Set the sliced strawberries aside along with around 5 mint leaves for garnish. In a blender, blend the dates and the water they have been soaking in, the fruit, lime juice, mint, and remaining water. Pour the mixture into a pitcher and garnish with the sliced strawberries and mint that you reserved. Serve over ice.
