• 1 pound of fresh strawberries
  • 2 cups of dates or figs
  • 1/2 cup of unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne
  • Water to thin

Put the dates, cacao, vanilla, and cayenne into a bowl and press down to get rid of most of the empty space between the dates. Cover the mixture with water (so it barely covers the mixture) and let sit for at least an hour. After an hour, put the entire mixture into a blender and blend until smooth. Transfer the mixture back into a bowl and dip the strawberries (preferably with stem on) into the chocolate and place onto a small plate. Place the completed strawberries in the refrigerator for at least one hour and serve immediately after taking out of the fridge.
